About Client

Topotronix is a next-generation B2B marketplace for buying and selling new and used surveying, 3D scanning, and measurement equipment (surveying, geospatial, metrology). The platform is designed for professionals: surveyors, engineers, BIM specialists, construction companies, and industrial businesses across Europe and beyond.

The project was founded by a team with a strong engineering and operational background. The combined experience of the team exceeds 12 years in the industry, including engineering projects, digital transformation, logistics, and the development of complex B2B processes.

What makes Topotronix different:

  • Marketplace with no entry barrier: sellers can list equipment for free; the platform earns only when sellers earn.
  • Full anonymity between parties until the deal stage, protecting both sellers and buyers.
  • Escrow-based payment model: funds are held until the equipment’s authenticity and compliance are confirmed.
  • Quality Control & Authenticity Clearance: every piece of equipment is verified by experts.
  • All-in Logistics: the platform manages logistics, inspection, and transaction support.
  • AI-driven visibility and discoverability: AI modules improve listing visibility and match equipment with relevant buyer requests.
  • Global buyers: an international marketplace rather than local private transactions.

Purpose Project

The key goal of Topotronix is to create a product that makes the market for complex high-ticket equipment transparent, secure, and convenient by eliminating the chaos of private deals, the risks of counterfeits, and non-transparent transaction conditions.

The platform establishes a unified transaction standard — from listing to payment and delivery — and gradually builds an ecosystem around surveying, 3D scanning, and measurement technologies.

Example Interfaces

Deployment
and features

  • Custom architecture based on Next.js, using a combination of SSR and SPA approaches to ensure optimal performance, fast page rendering, and readiness for horizontal scaling.
  • Component-based interface built on Ant Design, which allowed the team to standardize the UI, reduce development time, lower design system costs, and ensure consistent UX.
  • Modular marketplace structure with separation of business logic (listings, negotiations, deals, logistics, escrow, quality control) to simplify future maintenance and scaling.
  • Listing creation system with a dynamic product parameter model: users can define specifications, descriptions, media content, and attributes without rigid predefined schemas, providing flexibility across different product categories.
  • Multi-level content moderation: initial listing verification before publication and additional manager involvement during negotiations between parties.
  • Built-in negotiation module that records the history of deal condition changes, supports price negotiation, and integrates with order status management.
  • Implementation of an escrow mechanism with funds reserved until the product’s authenticity and compliance are confirmed.
  • User registration and authentication via phone number verification, with support for international formats to increase security and reduce fake accounts.
  • Centralized notification system covering all critical events: deal status changes, new negotiation messages, product-related actions, request updates, and logistics status changes.
  • Intelligent checkout with real delivery address validation and integration with the FedEx API for automatic shipping cost calculation.
  • Logistics module supporting international shipments, customs zones, cross-border scenarios, and multi-stage delivery routes.
  • Quality Control (QC) system via the Topotronix service center: includes an optional workflow where equipment is routed through an intermediate inspection point, with a generated inspection report before final shipment to the buyer.
  • Dynamic logistics recalculation when QC is selected: the system automatically builds a route “seller → service center → buyer,” correctly calculating shipping costs and accounting for international restrictions.
  • Request catalog (reverse marketplace) implemented as a separate functional module that enables a two-sided interaction model: demand is initiated by the buyer, and supply is provided by other users of the system.
  • Legal document management system with version control and audit logging: implemented to ensure mandatory user acceptance of policies and agreements in compliance with EU requirements regarding personal data protection (GDPR) and intellectual property rights. The system stores the acceptance history, including the specific document version, date, time, and user. If a document version is updated, the system forces re-acceptance and restricts access to platform functionality until the new terms are accepted.

PM Topotronix

“We work with the Molfar team as an outsourced development partner and are truly satisfied with the collaboration.

The team doesn’t just execute tasks based on technical specifications — they dive into the product, understand the business logic and the marketplace context, often ask the right questions, and suggest better solutions than originally planned.

We appreciate their structured approach, attention to detail, and clear, transparent communication. It’s always easy to understand what’s happening, what stage a task is at, and what the next options are.

For us, Molfar is a reliable technical partner with whom it’s comfortable to build and scale a complex B2B product, rather than simply “doing development.”
