Molfar Group has started work on a large-scale modernization of the My3D.Cloud SaaS platform — a cloud-based service designed for collaboration between architects, engineers, and contractors working with 3D laser scanning and 3D modeling technologies.
Today, My3D.Cloud is already used as a tool for managing complex projects where data accuracy, fast collaboration, and efficient handling of large volumes of 3D information are critical. The platform enables different teams to work within a single digital environment, simplifying communication and improving project workflows. However, as the product and user base continued to grow, it became clear that the current architecture required a complete technological rethink.
The client already had a successful experience working with Molfar Group during the development of the Topotronix project, which was successfully launched and demonstrated stable results after release. This previous collaboration became the foundation for a new and significantly larger stage of partnership focused on transforming My3D.Cloud into a next-generation SaaS platform.
As part of the new phase, the system will undergo a complete refactoring process with migration to a modern Laravel and Next.js technology stack. This approach will allow clear separation between backend and frontend responsibilities, improve performance, simplify maintenance, and significantly accelerate future product development.
One of the key architectural decisions is the implementation of a fully modular system structure. Each functional part of the platform will operate as an isolated module that can be updated, modified, disabled, or scaled independently without affecting the rest of the system. This architecture minimizes development risks, improves flexibility, and allows the platform to adapt to future business requirements much faster.
Special attention is also being given to the implementation of a multi-tenant architecture. Each company using the platform will receive its own dedicated subdomain in the format company.my3d.cloud, creating logically separated environments for every client. Additionally, each tenant will have its own isolated database, ensuring a higher level of security, data isolation, and scalability. This approach also enables more efficient infrastructure scaling depending on the needs and load of individual clients.
Alongside the technical transformation, the platform will receive a complete rebranding and a redesigned user experience. The goal is to create a faster, cleaner, and more intuitive interface focused on improving daily workflows and simplifying interaction between project participants.
This project represents the next stage in the partnership between the client and Molfar Group — moving from individual digital solutions toward the development of a scalable, flexible, and future-oriented SaaS ecosystem for the 3D modeling and architecture industry.
